Clinton Fire Department Fire Sirens

Clinton Fire Department Fire Sirens
The fire sirens would previously sound from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm for fire or rescue calls. When the County switched to the high band radio frequency, there was a problem remotely sounding the sirens. The sirens could be manually sounded for tornado warnings. This spring during the tornado siren test, there was a problem with the sirens not wanting to sound for the full two minutes.
The sirens were promptly repaired and are now being sounded for emergency calls from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to keep the mechanical sirens operational and so that problems are identified timelier. As a reminder, the siren will produce a low to high sound for emergency calls and will sound continuously for two minutes for tornado warnings.
