Water Service Line Survey

Due to new state regulations, the Village is required to determine the material of your water service lines. Please fill out the survey below.

If you have multiple properties, please submit a separate survey for each property.

Step 3: Type of piping BEFORE the meter. These are the lines that come into your home/business and go into the water meter (water meters are typically located in a home’s basement):

Copper (copper in color like a penny)

Plastic (red and blue, or white)

Galvanized (dark gray or black in color, magnet will stick to the pipe)

Lead (lead is soft and easily scraped, dull gray/silver, magnet will not stick to the pipe)

Step 4: Type of piping AFTER the meter. These are the lines that are throughout your home/business. Check all that apply:

Lead (lead is soft and easily scraped, dull gray/silver, magnet will not stick to the pipe)
