June 9, 2020
The Village of Clinton will reconstruct portions of Oak Tree Street and Edward J Street from Donna Drive to Johns Street. The work will include replacing some bad sections of curb and gutter, installing some under drain, pulverizing the street and installing a base course and wear course of asphalt.
Curb & Gutter Tentatively Scheduled for Week of June 15, 2020
The curb and gutter work is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 15, 2020, weather permitting. There are some bad sections of gutter along driveways. Home owners will be notified in advance and will have to stay off the new gutter for about seven days.
The gutter replacement work is marked with paint. There is gutter replacement scheduled for the driveways at 313 Oaktree, and the following Edward J. addresses: 302, 304, 305, 306, 308, 316, 317 and 321.
Pulverizing Streets Tentatively Scheduled for Week of June 22, 2020
The pulverizing is tentatively scheduled the week of June 22, 2020, weather permitting. No traffic will be allowed on the streets during the pulverizing process. After a street is pulverized, it will have to be graded and compacted before traffic is allowed on the street.
Paving Streets Tentatively Scheduled for Week of June 29, 2020
The paving is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 29, 2020, weather permitting. No traffic will be allowed on the streets during the paving process and for several hours afterwards. Residents should not make sharp turns or park on the street for several days after the street is paved to allow the fresh asphalt more time to setup.
Vehicular Access Limited
On the pulverizing and paving days, residents will need to make arrangements to have their vehicles out of their driveways before 7:00 am each morning if they anticipate needing them those days. It may be prudent to park your vehicles on a side street.
