Village of Clinton
Jackson Road Construction Notice
April 12, 2018
The Village awarded contracts to remove and replace some bad sections of curb, mill and overlay Jackson Road from Michigan Avenue to the north limits. During the week of April 17, 2018, the contractor will start removing and replacing some curb and bad sections of sidewalk. There will be a separate letter issued on sidewalk repairs that outlines the cost sharing of those improvements. The property owner is responsible for 70 percent of those costs and is given several months to make payments.
The curb to be removed will be marked with pink colored paint. Please do not park within thirty feet of those markings to provide the contractor ample room to work. Some of the curb work could involve driveways. If it does, you will want to remove your vehicles from the driveway that you plan on using for the next two weeks. Depending on the nature of the repairs, some of your drive approach may have to be replaced. The new concrete cannot be driven on for seven days after it is laid.
The milling and overlay work will be performed subsequent to the completion of the concrete work.
Thank you for your consideration!
