Village of Clinton

The meeting opened at 7:00 pm.

 

Members present were Carl Habrick Pro-Tem, Dianne Davis, Laurence Peters, Larry Sines, and Todd Morgan.  President Mowery and Joe Orban was absent.

 

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Davis to approve the August 4, 2008 Council minutes.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Davis to approve the August 4, 2008 closed council minutes.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Morgan to approve the checks written for the period ending August 31, 2008.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Charlie Stephens and Mrs. Della Bates addressed Council on improving the Tate Park entrance island.

 

Motion was made by Morgan and seconded by Sines to approve $515.15 for plants at the Tate Park entrance island.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Morgan to approve repairs to the well number 4 bridge to Midwest Bridge Company and Art Thureson Inc., in the amount of $9418.00.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion was made Davis and seconded by Peters to approve signs being place in Tate Park promoting the Motor Cities Automotive National Heritage Area.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion was made by Morgan and seconded by Davis to receive and file the Council information packet.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

The Village Manager updated Council on the clean up of the Woolen Mill, AMP Ohio financial rating and approving the DDA to purchase a second water meter for watering Brown Street parking lot plants.

 

The following comments were from Council.  Dianne Davis asked if there is an ordinance for picking up dog droppings.  Todd Morgan commented on the Tate Park Island, and Carl Habrick asked if there was any information from the committee on the brush policy.

 

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Morgan to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously.
