Village of Clinton
October 16, 2006

 

The meeting opened at 7:00 PM

Members present were President Mowery, Dianne Davis, Carl Habrick, Joe Orban, and Todd Morgan.  Larry Sines was absent.

Council received a number of public comments about the ramifications of the recently adopted traffic control order to restrict the weight on Tecumseh Road.  A meeting with interested parties is scheduled for later in the week.

Motion was made by Peters and seconded by Davis to approve the October 2, 2006 council minutes.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Morgan and seconded by Orban to accept the resignation of the Village Attorney, Mr. Gary Baldwin for prosecution services for the Village.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Orban and seconded by Davis to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of Adrian for prosecution services.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Habrick and seconded by Morgan to adopt Ordinance Number 3 of 2006.  An ordinance establishing regulations for the skateboard and inline skate park.  Motion carried unanimously.

Council was updated on the AMP Ohio renewable hydroelectric project.

Motion was made by Morgan and seconded by Habrick to approve the final payment to Scrub-A-Home for the painting of the water tower.  Motion carried unanimously. 

The Village Manager updated council on the renewal contract for Allied Waste.  More information will be available at the November Council meeting.

The following comments were from Council.  Carl Habrick asked if we were going to take bids for attorney services, and asked for an update on the skate park.  Joe Orban asked for a time line on the Village attorney, and Dianne Davis stated that our merchants need support from the community.

Motion was made by Habrick and seconded by Orban to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously.
