The meeting opened at 7:00 P.M.

Members present were President Mowery, Dianne Davis, Carl Habrick, Larry Sines, and Joe Orban.  Members absent were Todd Morgan and Laurence Peters.

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Orban to approve the April 3, 2006 open and closed and April 17,2006 council minutes.  Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Charlie Waterhouse from United Bank and Trust updated Council on the Tate Park and Robison trust investments.

Mr. Glen White from the Michigan South Central Power Agency addressed Council on electric deregulation issues.

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Orban to approve the checks written for the period ending April 30, 2006.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Davis to approve the 2005 senior citizens rebates in the amount of $7,269.27.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Davis and seconded by Orban to approve a new file server from Selective Data System in the amount of $8,173.76.  Motion carried with Sines voting no.

Council was updated on the Franklin Street sanitary sewer line project.

Motion was made by Habrick and seconded by Orban to authorize the fire department’s $16,383 certificate of deposit to be designated for a new fire truck.  Motion carried unanimously.

Council was updated on the wastewater treatment plant progress report.

Motion was made by Habrick and seconded by Sines to approve a filter building constructed by Midwest Custom Builders in the amount to $11,940.  Motion carried unanimously.

Motion was made by Sines and seconded by Habrick to receive and file the Council information packet.  Motion carried unanimously.

Council was updated on the land for the Tate Park pedestrian bridge.

The Village Manager updated Council on the repairs for Tecumseh road and there is a skate park meeting May 24th at 7.07 P.M. in the Clinton High School library.

The following comment was from Council.  Carl Habrick asked if it was possible to have the compost site open on Sundays.

The scheduled meeting for May 15, 2006 has been cancelled.

Motion was made by Habrick and seconded by Orban to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously.
